The safety valve is suitable for clean, granular, low viscosity fluids. Where the safety pressure relief device must be installed but is not suitable for the installation of safety valve, the bursting disc shall be installed or the safety valve shall be used in series with the bursting disc.

Safety valves must be installed in containers in any of the following situations:

1. Independent pressure system (with cut-off valve separated from other systems). The system refers to an all-gas, all-liquid or gas-connected system;

2. Where there is no safety valve at the pressure material source of the container;

3. Vessels and pipelines with design pressure less than the pressure at the pressure source;

4, positive displacement pump and compressor outlet pipe;

5. Containers with overpressure due to accumulation of non-condensing gas;

6. If there is a cut-off valve or a control valve in the outlet pipe of the heating furnace, a safety valve should be set upstream of the valve;

7. Overpressure caused by process accident, automatic control accident, power accident, fire accident and public engineering accident;

8. Thermal expansion of liquid due to closing of valves at both ends;

9. Steam outlet pipe of condensate turbine;

10. In some cases, due to the leakage of the pump outlet check valve, the safety valve shall be installed on the inlet pipe of the pump
